Yesterday I went to the school again. In the morning, Abby and I went back to the third grade class, and it was really neat to see those kids again and begin making relationships with them. In the afternoon I went to the high school for the first time. I told them that I wanted to go to Bible classes, but apparently the schedule that they gave me was wrong. Every class that I went to had nobody in it. So I tried to find random classes to join. The first class the my friend Amber and I went to was a Spanish short hand class. that was crazy. I had never seen short hand in my life... I thought it was Aribic or something at first. I learned how to write my name lol. Then we went to an Emglish class, which was pretty neat. I finally made it to a Bible class, then an odd law class, then social studies. It was a crazy day. We go visiting in the town each monday, wednesday, friday night, and last night we had a nice long conversation with a lady. She is a Christian and it was really neat to hear her stories of how she has ministered in the area.
Today we got to sleep in a bit and went to a water park. We are taking a break right now and are about to go have a service at a church in town.
The first week in Guate was incredible, I cant wait to see what God is going to do in the coming weeks!!

ReplyDeleteI tried to post a comment this Morning early before I took Matthew and Emily to Church for Arizona Training. Emily wanted to get there early to practice music for the day. Unfortunately, I did not do something right and the comment did not post.
I will get Emily to do this one for me.
Mom and i worked on painting the house trim that I never finished before. We got two areas done, the front of the garage and the front of our room.
Matthew and I did some gardening later and we all had dinner at home.
We are planning a dinner with the Simmons' tomorow

ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a really full week. I bet it is so neat to be working in the schools. I hope you get to build some great relationships with the kids.
Tonight we had the Simmons over for dinner and got to see Sarah before she goes back to school for 2 summer school classes. We also saw Hope at church today.
Tomorrow I am taking Daddy to buy his flowers for his garden.
Emily has the spring band concert on Tuesday.
